Air compressor

I have a viair 200 psi OBA on my truck, love it for the engine brake, hair horn and airing up tires. I had an issue of it not holding pressure and running continuously. I did extensive troubleshooting and thought the compressor was toast so I ordered another one and replaced the alleged bad one. Sam...

Re: xfer case linkage

Yeah, I haven't driven it yet because of low vision due to cataract surgery. I did think about the noise issue, I guess I'll see soon enough. I'm going in for my new glasses prescription this morning.

xfer case linkage

I have seen more than one thread about the transfer case shift linkage problems with the rubber grommet so knowing the rubber looses it's elasticity (gets hard) as it ages and my truck is 12 years old I decided to do something about it before it starts to fall off. Two standard heim joints with 3/8 ...

Re: 2015 Needs a new battery

I think the two batteries in my truck were original when I bought it, if so they lasted about 8 years here in central Arizona with summer temps over 100* often. Now I use Walmart extreme or what ever their premium battery is and they have a three year free replacement guaranty and last about 5 years...

Re: Funny Picture Thread

I've had a few cars/trucks with 3 on the tree.....what's the big deal? The truck that I have now is only the third vehicle I've had in my 71 year life time with an auto trans only because I couldn't find a decent priced one with a 6 speed manual. Anyone ever ride a motorcycle with an automatic trans...

Re: 2014+ Train Horn Recommendations?

I have a fire engine air horn on my CTD. I like it a lot, it gets 120 psi air from my 200psi OBA.

Portable propane

I'm wondering if this will be enough gas for a week of camping. I only need it for lunch and coffee.

Re: Overkill? (Snatch Block)

I got one of those $35.00 snatch blocks, that makes three blocks in my truck all the time. I like it a lot. It's the smallest of the three, I like the locking nut instead of snap ring. It's got a lubable bronze bushing. I did have to pry up a locking tab on the nut as a previous poster mentioned. No...

New forest partol truks

Darn sheriff office is getting new trucks for the forest patrol division...they're getting Rapturds! I said Power wagons would be much better suited for what they do (search and rescue etc. lots of off highway work) I was told the motor pool guys had some issues with dodge so they will never get Dod...

Glad you got it fixed! Some dealers are obscenely incompetent or just plain greedy. Some are ok. It seems like the Dodge dealer in my area is both of the first two.

Re: Torn Bicep Muscle

Don't get frustrated with seemingly slow progress. It takes time to heal and you will probably never be 100% agian especiallwith your advanced age
Just imagine if that had happened 100 years ago you would probably never have been able to use that arm agian at all!
