Re: 2013 PW Starter Kit
I have a 13 as well. Im on 2” coils with Thuren short arms and track bar, have AEV wheels as well. With 37” toyo rts I had rubbing on the sway bar and the rear plastic fender. Did lots of plastic trimming. There is a wiring harness on the drivers side that the tire gets really close to. Rear is a bi...

Re: Tranny Guard for ≤'13 Power Wagon
The offset crossbar moves the rear crossmember forward to allow for more droop. It was necessary for me with 12” travel kings and the Lt leafs. I had no issues with the kings and stock leafs and shackles as the axle would not droop enough to contact the crossmember, though it was close. As stated ab...

Re: Tranny Guard for ≤'13 Power Wagon
Your best bet is finding a local shop to make you a “one off” unit, or bother Maple offroad, he may look into it if there is enough interest showed. Only problem with the latter is Maple and Marcus are friends and since Maple “who is a real standup guy” doesn't want to step on any toes, it may neve...

Re: Anybody build a driveline protection solution that works?
My front driveshaft that broke last year at PWIM was due to a manufacturing defect. When I called the aftermarket manufacturer they stated that they had a bad batch of parts come in and had since changed distributers but still had some of the defective units out there. I ended up with one.

Couldn’t get a picture today, but ran across a white 4th gen with 2.5 kings and white knuckle sliders in the conroe/woodlands Texas area. Passed by at a stop sign in my lifted van and gave a thumbs up That was me lol, I waved, not sure if you saw or not. I wasnt trying to be rude, just caught me of...

Re: So, about the new Jeep Wrangler...
The 2.0l turbo is a hybrid and uses an electric motor and 48 volt battery pack to get you off the line until the gas motor takes over. Seems like a good concept for city driving but the batery pack hangs down pretty far underneath and seems like it woukd hang up on rocks and other off road obstacles.

:poke: Come on guys, can't we all get along? I remember when I got my Diesel Ram every one was joshing me, now it's twinstick with a Chvey. Any truck that gets you where you want to go and back again is ok in my world. He can always put a winch in his truck and still be in the winch mob. N...

Re: Rear dif issue?
I think the stock shafts with Spicer joints are a great combo. They’re very tough. I think I paid $35 per joint when I did mine? With 180,000 miles on them and one joint still good I think that’s a solid part to keep. Thats good to know, because as much as I would like to have the RCVs, its hard to...

Rear dif issue?
I have started noticing what can best be described as a binding or popping feeling coming from the rear of the truck when turning in 2wd from a stop. It happens just as I let off the brake and start to roll forward with the wheel turned about 3/4 turn either direction. If I don’t let all the way off...

Re: 37's Not Balancing
I feel your pain. When I first got them installed I pulled out of discount and immediately thought something was wrong because of the right hand pull. Went back and had them rotate back to front and left to right with no change. As they have worn the pull has become less noticeable, Thuren’s alignme...

Re: 37's Not Balancing
I have stock size stt pros, no balance issues but mine do pull to the right. It was very noticeable when I first had them installed but not so much now with 27k.

Re: Front Diff Blow Up
The front drive shaft is able to extend and retract to compensate for the slight forward movement of the front axle. Any time you are towing the front end is in a different position than it is at normal ride height. So if the dealer argument was true, anyone who towed or hauled heavy would have fron...

Re: Front Diff Blow Up
Yeah, I think thats exactly what happened. 3 leaks later they finally put some type of sealant in there with the seal and it has been leak free for 20k but I am sure it will leak again and ill have to have it fixed on my dime this time. To the OP, that sounds like a bunch of BS, control arms and spr...

Re: Front Diff Blow Up
There's only one way to properly fix a leaking pinion seal. I suspect Ram doesn't authorize under warranty the proper way. Over tightening the pinion nut can cause the pinion to seize up. Im sure you are right on with that statement. I dont know about the OP but when I told the service guy mine was...

Re: Front Diff Blow Up
I have had my front pinion seal on my 13 replaced 3 times under warranty. Rear leaked once and they replaced that seal but screwed up the rearend in the process so that got replaced under warrnaty as well. Apparently the dealerships have issues fixing things right the first time so it is not unlikel...

Isnt that the point of a bumper, to bump into stuff. When you feel the bump, stop, that will be your sensor.
