Congratulations, in my experience the use of both inner tethers works just fine. And I know your dog may not seem very tame now but dogs generally know to gentle with infants, it's crazy how they act around small babies. But a dog car restraint is an awesome idea.

Heck, you could ditch the hubs for drive flanges! Then its all for the bearings and higher spline count axles!

I like the idea of rear quarter pannel removal with sturdy wrap around protection to the wheel wells, and a rear winch option would probably be popular too.
