I got over 60,000 on my Carli ball joints. And they are still tight.
I am with Rusty on the Carli ball joints. I have had mine in for 5 or 6 years and they are still perfect.

Geolander XM-T

Anyone have any experience with Yokohama Geolander XM-T's. I was thinking of ordering a set of 35x12.5's this spring and was wondering how they would do on a truck as heavy as a Power Wagon. Or alternatively the Geolander MT-G003.

Re: Power Wagon mileage thread

53,000 miles on my '07. I use it for Home Depot runs and hunting. ( It now has Maple Sliders instead of NFab steps. And it is not usually this clean! )

Re: Maple Offroad Sliders

I am seriously impressed that you did it all by yourself! We had 2 floor jacks and were both under the truck on creepers pushing and pulling them into place for the bolts to line up. Now that you mention it, I did grind a bit off the top of one of the backing plates---it did clear, but it was tight ...

Maple Offroad Sliders

Installed my Maple Offroad sliders today, and I have a few initial thoughts to share. First, the shipping was top notch. Unbelievably well packed. Two thumbs way up for that. Once they were uncrated, it was easily apparent to me and the three guys helping me unload them, that they are extremely heav...

I usually have the exhaust off every time I change the trans oil (usually pulling the trans and putting a clutch in lol) but for when I don't, I have an allen head socket that I pound the allen out and use a wrench on it like Russ said.
Thanks again! This site rocks for group info!

Thanks Russ! I knew that someone on here had figured it out, but I couldn't find it. My alternative was to take off a pto cover and drain it that way.

G56 drain plug

A question got those of you with the G56. Am I missing something or is the Y pipe blocking the drain plug to the point that it is almost impossible to get off? Suggestions?

It is normal.

Yes Canada Twin. I live a few hours north of PowerwagonMark and a few of the others you have met. We got together a few years ago for a little offroad and liquid libations. The truck has 77,000 km--which is about 47,500 miles. Should take me into my retirement in five years.

Does the Krown smell as strong as the Fluid Film?
You smell it when it burns off the exhaust for 20 min or so--- after that, no issues at all.

Krown and Fluid Film work. I have done my 2007 with Krown every fall, and Fluid filmed the winch, smart bar, lockers, and every pivot point every six months. Looks pretty good for an old girl.

Valve Cover Gasket Leak

I have been trying for a month to track down a smell I was getting from my truck after I would drive it for a few miles. It was driving me nuts. I literally spent hours going over and under the truck looking for anything out of the ordinary. Turns out the drivers side valve cover has developed a lea...

I used a 2 step mini ladder. Socket with a 5 inch extension and a swivel. Took off the hoses and the intake tube on the passenger side. Very easy, did one cylinder at a time. 2 and a half hours total time, with a 15 minute beer break between cylinder banks to let my ribs rest.

I'd do it in a heartbeat if I could afford it and ran across one. But would the tranny hold it is the question. I want to bump mine some with a cam, throttle body, headwork, exhaust but afraid of the transmission.... I've got the G56. If it can handle the torque of the Cummins, it should be good. I...

I will also chime in with the others above me. I went to EBC slotted and dimpled rotors with yellowstuff pads. It stops like a sports car now compared with the stockers. The difference is truly remarkable.
