Valve body is on the way from World Wide Specialty Parts (Tow version).
I too missed the "re-call" on the shift solenoid pack, but I'm changing that as well while I'm in there.
I'll post up after the fix is in.
This site has some great information.
Thanks.

Re: 66RFE Downshift Hesitation/Shudder
Great info guy's thanks. I have some very similar issues as described in here. I just ordered the valve body from "World Wide Specialty", I bought the TOW valve body from them ($379/Free Shipping). Now I need to order up a Shift Solenoid pack and get to work getting this thing healthy again. 16PW/66...

Winch help
My winch switch is not working, it looks to have the "pins" corroded , is there a way to manually or rig the motor to wind?
My rope is all out in my drive way and I'd like to get it would up until I fix the corroded pins (female side),

Re: Coming out of gear?
So the "swap" to a Mopar kit happened today (yea)! If it happens again I'll know something is up. The tech that performed the swap said the instruction in the Mopar kit were very explicit and described that the O-ring must be inserted first before the filter (no "stacking"). He thinks the last tech ...

Re: Coming out of gear?
Thanks "DamageWagon", it kinda makes sense what yinz are describing as the possible issue. Seeing how three of you guys all lit up on the same "solve", it makes me feel pretty secure that this is what is happening (the timing of events helps point to this). The shop used "CarQuest" product, so this ...

Re: Coming out of gear?
Ok, I checked the fluid level "cold" after I started it up and put it in neutral. The temp was approx 90 degrees. It was a 1/16 of an inch below the third indicator. I warned it up to approx 150 degrees and checked the level, it was covering the third indicator and leaving the 4th hole empty as it d...

Re: Coming out of gear?
I agree on the "delayed engagement", i couldn't figure out how to change the title after I submitted.
We are going to switch to a Mopar filter/gasket when he drops the pan on Monday.
I will try the procedure you described this evening for the cold level check and see what it reads.
Thanks!

Coming out of gear?
Hey guys, I had my transmission serviced, they replaced the pan filter and gasket along with the cooler "spin on" filter. This was done approx a week and half ago. Three days ago after I pulled a 21ft trailer (Toy hauler) a few miles (I brought it out of storage), the truck then sat for a few hours ...

Re: Not sounding good!
Yea, Its still under warranty.
If it persists and the filter change doesn't solve my issue I'll take it in.
Hopefully its not a pump issue and this is just a precursor to a really bad problem.
Time will tell, I'll keep the forum posted.

Re: Not sounding good!
Thanks Cruze & TwinStick. I just got back from the parts store with a new/different (Car Quest) filter & bottle of Lucas oil treatment (No dealer for 60mi & Im on call for the weekend). I was kinda thinking maybe this is oil filter related as I only started hearing since oil change (but then again t...

Not sounding good!
Ok guys, when I start up my PW, every now and then I here what I think are my valves tapping because there is no oil in the valve train! I cant explain it any more than that. It seems to only happen every 15 to 20th start up (maybe even spaced further apart, like 30th or 40th start up). its only for...
