Re: 3G frame skid bars. Bad news!

Vintage? Seriously. Must be due to low production numbers. If 2008 is vintage, what does that make us? I believe the word your looking for is "antique !!! ", and yes, I am also included in that. LOL  Those bars are really NOT that HD. It would be easy to make some or have some made of ...

This is the most comprehensive & accurate explanation of recovery calculations I have ever seen posted on this site !!! Kudo's to you sir    Farm boys, & military men agree, off-roading will inevitably lead to some wicked stucks. Sometimes, you just gotta be there to believe ...

Re: 2020 Ram 2500 Power Wagon spied

So much speculation. Maybe,,,,those lower control arms are actually a kind of I-Beam, that is so HD, they had to lighten them up with the weight saving holes ??? lol  Honestly, I don't think they could go wrong if it looked like the red 1500 pictured, only sat up higher like PW's do & get the s...

Re: Mini Japanese Power Wagon in Orange Crush !!! LOL

So, to update this a little more....car is running & driving great. Daughter was at the top of her class but quit 9 weeks into the Academy. She would not tell me why but assured me that nothing bad happened. Found out just recently from my son why though.....They had 1 week of training on what I wou...

Moving slowly on the trailer. Got some E-track installed along the sides, carpet of sorts on the floor & ramp & got some E-track 2x4 holders & using that for the bed platform-tall enough to fit the ARB fridge's underneath. Got some bicycle fork mounts mounted inside up against the front wall.

Re: More camper shenanigans

Shackles are on, bronze bushings came with them (to replace the just about worn through in less than 1000 miles white plastic bushings, so thin you could see through some spots). I realized they had no bushing around the top shackle bolt, it really didn't need one but it was useless to have a grease...

Re: More camper shenanigans

:secret: Got my HD shackle kit with greasable bolts & my never fail bushings for the camper today. Factory shackles are about 3/16" thick at MOST. These are 1/2" thick. Will install as time/weather permits.

 I am interested in this as well. Not sure if you checked the "Members Builds" section but at the top is "Power Wagon Parts" & I think there is someone that got theirs way cheaper than WARN but were actually WARN parts-brand new, on Amazon. ????????????????

Re: More camper shenanigans

Just got back from another camping trip. Went to Ithaca NY. Stayed at Robert H Freeman State Park. Got there fine, got to site & :wtf: , I had to put it in there sideways with the road. Murphy's Law came with us. The only way I could put the camper into the spot was to jack-knife it in. Trucks front...

Not for nothing but isn't that super early for a bearing failure of that kind ? KTM's ain't cheap. My DR650SE had around 20k when I sold it. No problems like that. Some DR650SE's have gone 140,000 miles with no bearing failures. I know they are apples to oranges compared to a KTM but that just seems...

Re: Dodge Ram Power Wagon Global Production Numbers 2005-2015

I wish they broke it down for Power Wagons as well for the 3rd Gen's. Those stats are for all 2500's-including Power Wagons.

Also, Power Wagon option was 26P, & $6335. It has now changed to a different option # designation & is around $7200+.

128* is a GREAT temp. Mine has NEVER ran that cool, even when not towing. Hell, mine gets to 170* empty, on a 20 mile trip on a 70* day.

This stuff is super frustrating to say the least. They want you to give them your hard earned money for the truck, then are not capable of diagnosing/fixing it !!!

Re: The Cactus Red mod thread.

When I towed heavy (max weight), I changed the diff fluid every year. Compared to your bill, (if you would have had to pay it) fluid is cheap. My rear diff oil only lasted 11-12k, no matter what kind i used. You could actually hear it when the oil had sheered. I would change the oil the same day i h...

I had to replace the calipers on mine when that started happening. No more issues. I did the PowerStop one click brake kit. 4 rotors, shiny red calipers & pads all the way around. Expensive but truck stops a LOT better than it did.

How much $$$ is the oil control valve/solenoid ??? For peace of mind, i would probably pay to have it replaced, even though they should do it for free. WTF, another electronic high tech part that was supposed to make things better & more efficient, causes bu-ku damage when it fails !!!

Lifetime cooler-55qt

Picked one up today at w-world. $97.00 , has great reviews. Same coldness performance as the :cash: expensive ones, for a fraction of the price. It does flex when you sit on it, it does leak water if you tip it with the top latched. Other than that, it's claims have been verified. Holds ice for 7 da...

Scenic Rt 97 in Sullivan/Ulster County has a LOT of high speed car & motorcycle accidents. 20 or so years ago, there was one where a bike hit a cat at an estimated speed of 180 mph, split the car in 2, killed all 4 people in the car & they only found the thumb of the bike operator. It was by the Haw...
