Re: Diff Temp video

IMHO, most people, including me, install these with the hopes of prolonging the life of the rear axle & its internals. I have 3 different temp gauges, so i KNOW that my numbers are not that far off exact. The rear axle in my particular truck may not have been set up to run optimally, as the temp rea...

Re: 2012 Off road rattle

OK, not for nothing, but what am i missing here ? I have had 5 trucks & an old 84 subaru wagon, all with transfer cases. One truck had 325,000 miles on it. Never, ever had a t-case issue or problem. Yes, i maintained them by just changing the oil. My current 08' PW has going on 50k miles. And the ma...

Re: Battery talk.

After disconnecting the Odyssey Ultimizer charger & leaving batteries unhooked & alone for 2 days, the Gp 24 Exide wet cell dcycle camper battery dropped to 12.75v & the brand new (ok, 1 year old) X-900 Cabela's battery was reading 13.01v. So, once again maintaining 13.6 volts when unhooked from cha...

I have an Uncle, retired GM worker & Vietnam Veteran, who has been screaming at me for 40 years to "BUY AMERICAN". When i bought my Power Wagon, he said "FINALLY, YOU BOUGHT AMERICAN", I said no, you got it all wrong, my Toyota is Made in America & my Dodge is Made in Mexico, lol  . Yet his gar...

Re: Lifted floor jack....

I've actually been thinking of picking up this to keep in the truck. The Hi-Lift is useless for changing a tire with all I have going on now. I looked at the ProEagle, and I like them, but they are nearly 2x the cost of everyone else's aluminum jacks. https://www.jegs.com/images/photos/500/555/555-...

Re: Lifted floor jack....

For the money difference at HF, i'd get the 3 ton aluminum. You can catch them on sale for $159. They work well. I have 2 of the old style HF 3 ton steel floor jacks & 1 of the new 3 ton aluminum ones i like them all. One of the steel ones is 26 yrs old now, been rebuilt 3x (O-rings & jack oil) & st...

Re: 2018 Power Wagon issues

Can’t say I really care about the truck being gas or diesel. AES makes any RAM diesel into a Prospector so it was an option. What I am having a difficult time with is over all shamefully embarrassing fit to finish, and over all lack of accountability toward failing to manufacture a realizable truck...

Re: Mini Japanese Power Wagon in Orange Crush !!! LOL

Thank you sir. It seems i do as well. Thats why so much shit bothers me. Also part of the reason i retired. The "new people" coming in that they put with me were constantly doing really dumb shit, shit that could get you fired. They didn't care because they were just entering the tunnel---while i wa...

Dont think it would go anywhere with e-brake on, or 4Lo 1st gear, providing you work on 1 end at a time.

Re: Battery talk.

After mowing the lawn in this oppressive heat & humidity today, I went into the garage & sat under the fan for a while. While sitting there, right next to the Odyssey Optimizer charger, hooked up to the Cabela's x-900 & my camper battery, my volt meter was also handy, so i hooked it up & turned it o...

Here is my experience: I have a Sears Die Hard Platinum Marine (the big ass one). It has been hooked to my underhood battery since new in 2008. Battery was also used for 2 years previous in my old 2004 Ram 2500. It is not isolated, it is hooked directly with 2/0 gauge welding cable with soldered on ...

Yeah, that is exactly why i sold mine. I LOVE riding, but everyone seems to drive with their middle finger, even though it was clearly their fault. Been thinking about an off-road bike lately, to eliminate all the on-road issues. lol

Re: Tradesman/power wagon vs power wagon snowplow prep

Mfg says: snow plow pkg no worky with PW due to softer springs. People have done it though with no issues......unless you have a dealer that is just looking for a reason to void your warranty, like mine. They tried to void my lifetime powertrain warranty because of all the top shelf (at that time) a...

It sat on the train in Buffalo NY. :box: Told the dealer that I want to go up and pick it up there. He said that they won't let me do that. :box:  Y...

I had a 2005 Suzuki DR650SE. Great bike. It paid for itself and the insurance with $$$ to spare, vs driving my trucks. Sold it when i retired.
