:wtf: Well I'd be heated as well. So glad you found it before it grenaded & left you stranded in the middle of BFNW. Yeah, thats just more proof positive that our species is de-evolving. Maybe it's all the pesticides & plastics LOL   On a side note: I was just looking at MOPAR ring gea...

Re: Power Wagon Picture Thread

Not for nothing but isn't that super early for a bearing failure of that kind ? KTM's ain't cheap. My DR650SE had around 20k when I sold it. No problems like that. Some DR650SE's have gone 140,000 miles with no bearing failures. I know they are apples to oranges compared to a KTM but that just seems...

Re: Dodge Ram Power Wagon Global Production Numbers 2005-2015

I wish they broke it down for Power Wagons as well for the 3rd Gen's. Those stats are for all 2500's-including Power Wagons.

Also, Power Wagon option was 26P, & $6335. It has now changed to a different option # designation & is around $7200+.

128* is a GREAT temp. Mine has NEVER ran that cool, even when not towing. Hell, mine gets to 170* empty, on a 20 mile trip on a 70* day.

This stuff is super frustrating to say the least. They want you to give them your hard earned money for the truck, then are not capable of diagnosing/fixing it !!!

Re: The Cactus Red mod thread.

When I towed heavy (max weight), I changed the diff fluid every year. Compared to your bill, (if you would have had to pay it) fluid is cheap. My rear diff oil only lasted 11-12k, no matter what kind i used. You could actually hear it when the oil had sheered. I would change the oil the same day i h...

Re: Master cylinder going bad?

I had to replace the calipers on mine when that started happening. No more issues. I did the PowerStop one click brake kit. 4 rotors, shiny red calipers & pads all the way around. Expensive but truck stops a LOT better than it did.

Re: A Tale of Diagnostic Woe

How much $$$ is the oil control valve/solenoid ??? For peace of mind, i would probably pay to have it replaced, even though they should do it for free. WTF, another electronic high tech part that was supposed to make things better & more efficient, causes bu-ku damage when it fails !!!

Lifetime cooler-55qt

Picked one up today at w-world. $97.00 , has great reviews. Same coldness performance as the :cash: expensive ones, for a fraction of the price. It does flex when you sit on it, it does leak water if you tip it with the top latched. Other than that, it's claims have been verified. Holds ice for 7 da...

Scenic Rt 97 in Sullivan/Ulster County has a LOT of high speed car & motorcycle accidents. 20 or so years ago, there was one where a bike hit a cat at an estimated speed of 180 mph, split the car in 2, killed all 4 people in the car & they only found the thumb of the bike operator. It was by the Haw...

If you are a go-fast off-road person, bed side stiffeners are in your future, as DamageWagon stated. https://images.search.yahoo.com/search/images;_ylt=A2KLfRzq7QFbF38A_BJXNyoA;_ylu=X3oDMTEyb3ZxOTE0BGNvbG8DYmYxBHBvcwMxBHZ0aWQDQjQwMzdfMQRzZWMDc2M-?p=truck+bed+stiffeners&fr=mcafee#id=65&iurl=https%3A%...

Used it again. It was windy as hell this time too, so I set it in the garage. Bags of red potatoes were BOGO & so were onions. So, I did up 10 lbs of home fries w/10 lbs of onions. Worked awesome. Also did up 25 Sahlens hot dogs, after the potatoes & onions were done. Put into portion bags & vacume ...

Re: More Road-Feel After Driveshaft Rebuild?

 I just can't wrap my head around how so many things seem to be not worth fixing, because a brand new part is just a little more. $289 for a yoke or $529 for an entire new shaft with 2 new u-joints and yoke & new shaft. Just don't seem right to me.

Seriously, I think it is time for a face-to-face sit down with the owner of the dealership. Tell them, it's not personal, just business. You want your truck fixed properly, that's all. Then ask them if they think their time/money is worth more than yours, because it's not. Then get into all the inco...

Unfortunately your sorrows will not end until someone does a thorough inspection of every component of the valve train. Ain't nobody got time fo dat. The verdict is in: This thing is friggin awesome ! Cooks a LOT of food in short order. The day i used it, it was super windy though & that hampered things a bit, had to cook with flames higher than i wanted, just so they would stay lit. I may have to invent a better wind screen for it. As for the re...
