Re: Rear locker working again......replaced!!

Retired BLM rig,

That is awesome info. That should be stickied somewhere.

So, based on your info, my money says that they have replaced MANY rear locker assemblies, needlessly. Costing them PLENTY, because their dealers/service managers/technicians are clueless !!!

Re: Rear locker working again......replaced!!

Mine too. I believe it was heat related. Mine happened while towing (when we first got our new-lighter 3500 lb camper). I stay at 65 mph or less now while towing. Going to try the Amsoil SVT Severe Gear 110w next time. I recorded the 315* F reading on rear diff, while towing 10,500 lbs w/about a 150...

You can absolutely align a vehicle with every joint blown and not even know it. I’ve never seen an alignment shop do any test that’s useful in determining if parts are worn. It’s parked on a lift and they’re adjusting points by hand, watching a computer. Well, yes, you are absolutely correct that t...

So, here is a :wtf: update on the trailer. Bought the trailer & had them install the brake controller----for time saving sake. Even though they charged me $70 more than internet price for the Teconsha Prodigy P2 & another $50 for the install. Went to get in & leave & the brake controlled was install...

Re: 37" tires with 4.10 for those who do have

Not sure about the new Gens but 3rd Gen auto trans guys would install a larger trans oil cooler. I did it on our 04' Reg Ram 2500 QC. 12 row to a 24 row. That worked great. If I had an auto, I would do the same. I always think this: Going up Ike Gauntlet on a 100* day...would I overheat ? If the ans...

Re: 2017 Wandering/Pulling to Right

Shortly after we got our PW, I went back to the dealer & asked if they could do an alignment on our truck. They said "we sure can." So, then i asked to see their alignment machine. & got ........Ahhhh, we don't actually have one,.....we send it out !!!! So, dealer charged $140 for a 4 wheel alignmen...

Nice job ! I have a small 3 gal Craftsman air compressor in my garage & recently added a 7 gal tank to the system. Holy cow, what a difference that made. I have a 5 gal tank for my truck, if i ever get around to the install. I plan to use it with my battery operated portable Ridgid compress...

Re: The Cactus Red mod thread.

Did both have 3 ply sidewalls ? If so, maybe rubber was a softer compound ? Sometimes, a load range "D" tire has the same weight rating (3195 lbs) as load range "E" tire & requires lower air pressure as a result. Tires sure are funny, the way they are rated & constructed, from mfg. to mfg. .

Re: Winch rope extension question

I have used D-clevis's my whole life when wincing, with no issues. I just go slow & make sure everything is straight and proper before putting full force on your rigging. Yes, sometimes you need to make many trips up and down your rigging but slow & steady wins the race when winching.

I LOVE this one.

This one has a 3.5" lift, bigger OWL tires & the paint------for $8000 more. :secret: Much more bang-for-the-buck if you opt for the Power Wagon Pkg. I'm just sayin'.
