Re: More camper shenanigans

Sorry to hear of all your problems with your camper TwinStick. I can truly empathize with you. We had many issues with our fifth wheel when we first bought it. There is nothing quite as frustrating as making payments (us, I don't know about you) on a camper that you can't even use. I hope you get it...

Re: Questions on a camper

Used to be a guy on here. Glenn was is name. He pulled a 5th wheel with his 3G. Remember him saying that you have to watch the bedsides because of the height of the PW. Said he came close to hitting his a few times. Also he said that lifted trucks and 5th wheels don't go together. Not enough cleara...

Re: Power Wagon Picture Thread

Hi Rusty! 5th wheel is still serving us well. Starting to show her age, I spent part of the spring doing a few things to keep her going, but should do well for a while. How is everything with you? "Best" is relative. My 2006 has been paid off for over 7 years and still is going strong. It continues ...

Re: Overland Shock Issue

They have a good reputation and might work well with a stock suspension, but my experience was they were junk. Maybe the Thurens were overwhelmed surrounded by all the Carli suspension, I don't know, but switched out for Bistein 5100s earlier this year and am very pleased with the improvement.

Greetings everyone! I don't post very often, but I see a few camping pics, so I thought I would post a few pics from our family camping trip last week and let you know I am still around. https://photos.smugmug.com/photos/i-97gm4Lj/0/c0302907/XL/i-97gm4Lj-XL.jpg https://photos.smugmug.com/photos/i-Wb...

Re: Ball Joint Press

from what I've read on different forums is that the loaner tool you get at parts store aren't the large frame and won't work on our trucks. Can anyone confirm that? That was the problem I ran into. Before I began the project I was assured they had what I needed under their tool loan, but when it ca...

Re: Ball Joint Press

I recently rebuilt the front end in my 2006. I don't know if there are any differences between 2006 and 2012 that need to be addressed, but I don't believe so as the ball joints I purchased say they are for 2003 to 2012. I know the 7249 kit wouldn't work. The press was not large enough and none of t...

Re: Tonneu or Toppper

I have a tonneau cover and Bestop Supertop. Most of the time I have the tonneau cover on and only use the Supertop when I need extra room, which is usually for family tent camping trips (I also have a fifth wheel camper). For many years I used the Mopar soft tonneau cover http://www.mopardodge.com/a...

Re: Power Wagon Picture Thread

Still figuring this picture stuff out. Hopefully you can see it. Here we are all packed up heading up in to the mountains to a place called Tulameen. This PW is awesome towing all this stuff. No issues at all going up all the mountains up here in beautiful British Columbia. https://scontent-sjc2-1....

Re: 3rd Gen Smartbar Locker Bypass

That is what I was afraid of. Reading through the posts, it sounds like myoung84 believed he had everything figured out out, but was finding it difficult to obtain a connector he needed to make the kit "plug and play". Lacking the connector it could be accomplished with some splicing. If that is cor...

Re: 3rd Gen Smartbar Locker Bypass

Reading through these posts it appears myoung84 turned the locker bypass project over to CajunPW, but he is only running a list for 4Gs. Does anyone know if the 3G project was completed and if so, where do I go to purchase/get on a list? Thanks

I had considered the Carli long travel air bags, but their attachment location is the same area where the brackets for my fifth wheel are located, so it would appear to be a no go.

Re: 2014 Power Wagon get's 6.4L Hemi

It will have my attention. Should be a better towing platform than my '06. The gearing alone in the 66RFE should be an improvement over my 545RFE. From 345 HP to 410 HP and from 375 TQ to 429 TQ should be a noticeable improvement. Will be interested if the air bag option will be on the Power Wagon a...
