Re: Used WKOR sliders for sale

I've decided to not wheel the PW *that* much, so I don't need them any longer. Instead, I went and got an old Jeep which I trailer to wherever I go off-roading / rock crawling (just made the yearly pilgrimage to Moab this way), so I also didn't want to be limited on trailer towing due to less payloa...

**SOLD**: Used WKOR sliders for sale

Hi, I'm selling my used White Knuckle Off Road rock sliders. Sorry, I won't ship. If you want them , you will have to come get them in southern Orange County. I bought these unpainted and rattle canned them. They have a bit of rust and as the pictures show, they have been "tested". I have all the mo...

Re: Quick question on tire pressures

Back home from Moab. The PW did great towing and I stuck to the OEM tire pressures. Coming out of baker, the TPMS light started blinking and then turned on solid after about 10 minutes of climbing the grade towards Vegas from Baker. Looking at the tire pressures, my left rear tire was at 78 pounds a...

Quick question on tire pressures

Hey guys,

I'm heading to Moab in a week (sorry, not the PWIM event) and will be towing about 6500 pounds. AFAIK leaving the tires at 60 PSI front and 65 PSI rear is going to be ok?

Re: Dead power outlet. Fuse is ok

The funny part is, the 12v outlet in the armrest / console works just fine. I haven't tested the 110V outlet, guess I should :)

Thanks for the feedback guys

Re: Dead power outlet. Fuse is ok

Sorry, I could have been more precise. It's the 12 volt "cigar lighter" power outlet that's dead. The one located on the left hand side nearest the driver's seat.

Dead power outlet. Fuse is ok

Hey guys, The power outlet in the lower left side of the center, isn't working. If I've read the owner's manual correctly, it's protected by fuse F104. The fuse is fine, as is the enter armrest outlet which, supposedly, is protected by the same fuse. So... Wiring...? Socket? Not sure where to start

Re: Steering issue

What cause the axle to be offset? The track bar isn't adjustable so I assume it was all alignment. Wonky caster and preloaded rubber joints? Yannow..... they didn't actually mention that and I forgot to ask. In my layman's eyes, it DOES seem like it's centered more now than it was when I dropped it...

Also could be road salt from following behind vehicles when the roads are really wet and salty
That was honestly my first thought but then again, I live in Southern California so it seemed like an unlikely thing :)

LOL!!!

Well, that's certainly much easier than dealing with a possible coolant leak.

Thanks :)

Re: Steering issue

Hey guys, Update: Got the truck back from the dealer's collision shop and it is SIGNIFICANTLY better now. The axle is no longer visibly off center and they also found that the wheels were 2 full degrees out of alignment so they fixed that. They did all of this without me having to make a single call...

Possible coolant leak?

Hi everyone,

I wonder if I have a coolant leak in my truck. The liner in the hood has white crusted stains on it, pictures:

Re: Steering issue

The shop foreman at the dealer's shop was who made the visual inspection. The truck was sitting in a level parking lot with the wheels almost entirely straight. The right side tire is aligned perfectly with the fender. The left side tire sticks out. -This is regardless of the tiny amount the wheels ...

Re: Steering issue

Today I dropped the truck off at the local dealership body shop. Within 5 minutes, they determined that the front axle was not centered. The left front wheel sticks out farther than the right.

To make it all better, it also appears that rodents have been seeking shelter in my truck's engine bay.

Re: Like I really needed more lights on the dash...

In my neck of the woods, -106 dBm works well for roaming threshold. I have the big white mic with number keys on it. If I press 3x right and 3x left on the up/down/left/right button on the mic, I get the RSSI displayed on the radio. -Have you tried that to see what signal strength you get in the loc...

Re: Like I really needed more lights on the dash...

Super cool! I run an XPR5550 in my truck also, but I have the "regular" control head mounted.

I'm curious: Are you using the radio for DMR, or for FM or both?

Heck, we could probably even talk to each other on the radio given the right talk groups....

Re: Steering issue

Maybe I'll jack up the front end and move the wheels from lock to lock and see if anything feels "off", as in... binding up, clunks, play, so on and so forth

Steering issue

Hi everyone, A couple of months ago, I was in a minor accident when an idiot pulled into the lane I was driving in. I managed to slow the truck enough that the idiot only clipped my front right corner. The idiot was at fault and my insurance took care of things despite him being uninsured. Ever sinc...

Re: Ignition sense ?

I tapped into he fused side of the fuse, so I am relying on the fuse itself. It's a 20A fuse so it should easily be able to drive a relay.

Re: Ignition sense ?

I ended up tapping into F93 (fuse for one of the cigar lighter outlets, which are ignition switched)

All now seems to work well :-)

Ha, google is my friend

I have discovered the miracle which is fuse taps.

Sounds like all I need to do is tap into one of the cigar lighter fuses and be done with it :)

Ignition sense ?

Hi everyone, I am working on installing a relay in the circuit which charges my extra battery and runs my radios, compressor etc. The goal is to only power that circuit when ignition is on, and have the circuit be NOT powered when the truck is off in order to limit / prevent drain of the trucks main...

Re: What's your upgrade?

If you are looking for an onboard air compressor then I'd suggest the ARB dual motor / dual cylinder 13 volt compressor. It produces 90 PSI and is a 100% duty cycle compressor.
